It felt like a natural progression for my animation work to start moving into 3D software. This piece was my first attempt in Cinema4d, mainly using primitive shapes and some very basic rigging techniques.
Knowing my workflow in C4D would be a bit labour-intensive and inefficient at first, I was cautious about diving straight in. Instead, I started by creating a few style frames, which I then quickly animated in After Effects to lock down compositions and timing. This ended up being a solid launchpad for building the animation in C4D.
